If you don't use it, you lose it, you forget it. These techniques we use are not like what you learned in sc...

"Why so sad? Who died?" I was asked this morning as I walked in to the factory to pick up an order of our IDF combat pants. "Menachem Stark", I answered. "Who? I don't know the name." I explained, "A New York real estate guy, Jewish, Hasidic, father of 7, or 8, rumored to have had some shady business dealings." "But how does that affect you?" I did not know him personally, but every human tragedy affects me, and ...of course this hits closer to home. I used to work in that area... Read Full Post »

These street conflicts Imi was involved in were intense and dangerous, frequently leading to deaths on either side. This type of violence was the proving ground for Imi. It was here that Imi learned the stark difference between the Boxing and Wrestling matches of his youth and the life or death nature of of gang violence. Imi later refined these experiences to form the concepts used in the development of Krav Maga. Imi and his activities eventually came to the attention of the authorities an... Read Full Post »

Posted by Dennis Fritzinger on May 1, 2014 at 11:15 PM Comments comments (0)

For all those of you thinking about self-defense, you may have heard the term krav maga thrown around. This is often a type of fighting developed from the Israeli army, designed to maintain soldiers alive in hand-to-hand fight. As opposed to other types of fighting or martial arts, in krav maga there are actually no rules or restrictions. The one goal is to defeat your opponent and sustain as small injury as achievable. It truly is a brutal, powerful, and deadly approach of fighting. It's als...

Krav Maga and Religion

Posted by Dennis Fritzinger on January 21, 2013 at 12:50 AM Comments comments (0)

Krav Maga and Religion does it go hand and hand. My answer is "Yes". The same way God has given us the 10 commandments to teach us how to keep safe, and make us aware of our surroundings to teach us law. Krav Maga teaches safety and awareness. Without some type of awareness of our surroundings there would be endless possibilities of us getting hurt in our every day lives. With hatred increasing more and more each day. The world moves at a faster pace we have a tendency not to slow down and pa...
